THE SAHAABAH

Hadhrat Utbah Khaulani (rahmatullah alayh) said:

"For the Sahaabah, Maut (death) was sweeter than honey. They never feared the hardships of the world. Their yaqeen (faith) in Allah's razzaqiyat (providence) was absolute. They loved Maut more than what you love health."

Such men--such fundamentalists and fanatics--who followed the orthodox Path of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) raised the standard of Islam o­n the rooftops of the world. It were the bearded followers of the Sunnah who smashed the might of Roman and Persian kufr. And even today in Afghanistan, the bearded 'fanatics' are driving the Russians and the Americans crazy. In history it were o­nly the fanatical observers of the Sunnah who turned the wheels of history.
