The greed that constrains a man to perpetually engross himself in the pursuit of wealth for the sake of pride is evil. This type of hirs (greed) makes man oblivious of Allah's laws. Such a man does not distinguish between halaal and haraam. (Faqeeh Abu Laith Samarqandi)
